I am the news reporter in Virginia Beach, Virginia who you helped in November. I just wanted to thank you for all of your help and knowledge.... and I'm so excited to "report" I just received an offer with Johnson & Johnson!!!! I know the help I received from your book PharmRep Select as well as the audio CDs and your help in re-writing my resume helped me get the job offer. Thank you again..... and I'm looking forward to the new journey, challenges, and opportunities that are ahead. - Rona Williams
I did a search in Barnes and Noble for books on the subject of Pharm Sales. I usually choose to buy a book based on the Publisher's description and the reviews that readers have written. Your book and system came highly recommended, and I chose to buy your package deal based on these raving reviews. Thanks for the encouragement. I cannot wait to read/hear your materials. - Tiffany Jones, RN "PharmRepSelect Instant Download CD Resumes and Cover Letters to Get Your Job Offer saved me six-hundred dollars! Thanks, Lisa! yeah, that's the price I was quoted after a free resume review I got from a website when I bought their e-book. You were right, like you say on your CD, free resume reviews bring along price tags for resume re-dos! Thanks for providing the information so I could do my own. The track on the CD I Don't Have a Job, I'll Make My Own resume, is beautiful!"
“You can search and search as I had, but you won't find a more helpful interview tool on the market. Interview Insight audio CD was so helpful - After reading several books on interview skills I thought I had the hang of it, but not until I listened to Interview Insight-PharmRepSelect, did I understand how to word my answers so they actually sounded professional but natural. I used some of Lisa's wording as a template to my answers and guess what? It worked because I was invited to the second and third interview and got the job offer”!
“If you want to PREPARE for an interview appropriately — read Lisa Alexander's book. I wish I had found Lisa's book and consulting services first!” Lisa's book helped me land a second interview with a very large pharmaceutical company. I had read many many books and had landed three interviews with large pharma companies on my own, but I was never asked back for a second interview.
“Great book! Gives you all the insider information that you need to get the job of your dreams.” I am in the final interview process with the regional manager and couldn't be happier. I loved the book and used all of the knowledge from it to get by my first five interviews - it was a breeze. Great book. Low price. Can't beat it. “Thank you for a wonderful read and for any additional guidance you can provide.” I recently completed reading PharmRepSelect, which I had ordered for my daughter, a 2003 University of Kentucky integrated strategic communications graduate. She is trying to break into the pharmaceutical sales rep industry and found your book to be most helpful. After completing the book, she handed it to me with the suggestion that I also read it. She convinced me that after twenty years of teaching English/Communications that I was the perfect candidate for this industry.
“Thank you for the wonderful book.” Unfortunately, I had a second interview with a large company before I received the book. After reading the book I can identify the areas where I missed the target. I am confident my next interview will be successful now that I have the right tools, thanks. — Stacy.
“Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly.”
“Your insights into becoming a pharmaceutical sales representative are invaluable.” Your book arrived yesterday and I finished reading it that night. Although having zero outside sales experience, but many years retail experience, I am not discouraged after reading your book. In fact, it is quite the opposite. The key point for this job’s interview process a is preparedness. I know now that being a polished candidate seems to outweigh any lacking in sales experience. I am diligently combing through my past to have answers to potential questions. This also reinforces that I indeed do have a body of past experiences worth categorizing.
I particularly found useful your section on “closing”. Not coming from an outside sales background, I did not know this aspect was such a clincher in the interview process. It makes perfect sense that if you want a career in sales that you actually use sales skills as a daily part of one’s life. What is termed “closing” is something I have already been doing throughout my life anyway. For example, asking that date for the next date after taking her home from dinner and a movie. Or, asking someone when would be a good time to meet with you again. There are numerous examples to draw from and I am pleased that you mentioned how important “closing” is in the pharmaceutical sales world. It gives me hope that I am indeed right for this position. Again, I thank you for your resource and wish you more success in the future. — Sincerely, Geoff S.
“This book definitely taught me techniques that will help me stand out from the crowd both before and after securing an interview.” Prior to reading this book I felt I had a very good idea of what landing a pharmaceutical job would take. After reading the book I quickly realized that I may have been giving myself a bit too much credit. The Manger Surveys, sample interview questions, brag book suggestions, and follow-up chapters are the one's I found most informative. — Stacy Hohman
“PharmRepSelect will keep you from giving up and increase your chances tenfold of getting the job offer.” After too many job rejections, I was about to give up. PharmRepSelect was recommended to me by the Manager that interviewed me but did not offer me the job. He knew it would help my interview performance — it did! Every page is filled with practical, sound usable advice. The examples and stories are so clear that I was able to immediately see what I could do better on my next interview. I am now in the industry and recommend this book to anyone that is discouraged. — Richard Alverez, Miami, Florida.

The author's writing style is interesting and fun to read while being extremely informative about the job itself. I enjoyed this book because it had the author's personal stories and motivating quotes. This book actually got me so motivated to succeed and secure one of these jobs, that I followed all of the advice in the book. I did achieve my goal ( after a few tries) and am now employed with a mid size pharmaceutical company. I recommend this book over some others out there because unlike the other guide books, this book will make you feel good about your-self, even if you don't get your offer right away- it is so positive and motivational, you won't toss it after you get the job! I can't say that about any other guide books I have read. It's a keeper! — Steve Rodgers, appreciative of a good book, June 25, 2004. “Small investment; Great pay off; Got the Job!” —Michael Tanner, at sales training with new company. This is one good book!
“I love PharmRepSelect! The book and CD along with your personal consultation cut months off my learning curve, not to mention the frustration you have saved me. Thanks, Lisa, I got my job offer today!" — Troy Lawson, Chicago, IL

I am eager to exercise the interview skills you explained in your book. I just got off the phone with a Manager from Johnson and Johnson and have a face to face interview appointment next Tuesday…thanks so much for your help.
After reading PharmRepSelect®, given to me by my boyfriend, I do not feel that my lack of sales experience will hinder me. I now understand that I can use my related work experience and college activities as examples of how I have been and will be successful for the company I go to work for.
I am so thrilled to tell you that I was offered a sales job with my first choice pharmaceutical company. I had gone on four interviews before and came close to the job offer but always lost out to someone with more experience. I think my strong closing and follow-up techniques that I learned from PharmRepSelect®, which I demonstrated; had been the missing steps…I will let you know when I get my first promotion…
Because I bought and read PharmRepSelect®, I decided to follow up on an interview that I had gone on three months earlier with a small pharmaceutical company. I had never heard back after the interview and figured that I was written off and the manager had hired someone else. But I decided to follow up and used the type of follow - up letter you sample in the book. I received a phone call three days later from the manager that I had the original interview. He explained that the company had a hiring freeze he had not hired anyone yet. The position was still available and he wanted to meet with me again. The next day, we met, it went well and I used the closing techniques I learned from your book. I am happy to tell you I got the job offer and start next week. Thank you so much—I know that if I had not contacted the manager again—I would not have this job today! Where were you and this book when I graduated college? No one visited my college campus and gave us info on successful interviewing… (I wish you had) I have been working as a telemarketer for almost a year (as an entry) into pharm sales. I purchased your book for my brother who will be graduating this spring. I am having it delivered to me so I can read it first! I read your book, interviewed with my new company and closed by using your outlined techniques. My new manager told me that I was chosen out of about two hundred applicants! Thanks for sharing your expertise.
I wanted to send you a note to thank-you for your one on one seminar…I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to have had your full attention…the advice and feedback regarding the book information certainly has my wheels turning…it was such a pleasure meeting you. Thanks for everything!
